F.A.Q.
Where are you located?
Our dogs are kept in foster homes. We do not have a physical location open to the public.
What are your hours?
We are open by appointment only
I am interested in learning more about a dog. Who can I contact?
Send an email to adoptions@angelsretreat.org with your information and the dog’s name you are interested in. We try to respond to all inquiries within one business day.
What are your adoption fees?
Adoption donations vary for each dog and usually range from $300 – $750.
Do you take credit cards for adoption fees?
Yes, we can accept all major credit cards as well as cash, check, Venmo and PayPal.
What should I bring when I come to adopt an animal?
When coming to meet a new dog, you should bring everyone who lives in your household including currently owned dogs. Its important that everyone is comfortable with the new dog you are adding to your home.
What are your requirements for adopting a pet?
We require that you complete an application on our website, provide accurate information and a vet or personal reference. Certain animals may have special requirements such as a fenced in yard or no small children due to their specific needs.
What if I have questions after I get my new pet home?
We are always here for our dogs. You can always contact us at adoptions@angelsretreat.org with any questions that come up after adoption. We also love to see photos of our dogs in their forever homes!
What is your return policy for dogs?
We will always take our dogs back. As we are a small organization, there may be a wait for a spot to open until we can accept the dog. The adoption donation helps defray Angel’s Retreat’s expenses for food, sheltering, spaying or neutering, vaccinations and veterinary care, as well as the administrative burden for processing adoptions. Accordingly, adoption donations are not refundable.
Can Angel’s Retreat provide veterinary care for my dog after I adopt it?
Angel’s Retreat does not have an on-staff vet to provide for care after adoption. Adopters should plan to take their new dog to a vet within 72 hours of adoption for a new pet exam and establish care.
